Morning Glory got Morning Sporty on Friday as host Michael Marotta welcomed Boston author and journalist Dave Wedge to the show. Wedge, the man who co-wrote the Boston Strong book that was adapted into Mark Wahlberg’s film drama Patriots Day, recently released 12: The Inside Story of Tom Brady’s Fight For Redemption. Another collaborative effort with writer Casey Sherman, the book chronicles Brady’s battles during Deflategate through leading the New England Patriots to additional Super Bowl titles.

Wedge and Marotta talked about the book, the seemingly strained relationship between Brady and Patriots coach Bill Belichick, and the ongoing soap opera that consumes one of the NFL’s most storied franchises. They also chatted music and festivals, eulogizing Vans Warped Tour, which just hit Mansfield.

Listen to the conversation below, and tune into Morning Glory every weekday at 7 a.m.
