One of the standout performances at this year’s Boston Calling came from homegrown Massachusetts product Clairo. Born Claire Cottrill, the Carlisle native dropped by Miller Lite’s indie617 tent on Saturday (May 25) to discuss her music, her rise in popularity, and taking inspiration from The Smiths, Factory Records, and the British music scene of the 1980s. Clairo might have been born in 1998, but she knows what’s up.
