Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have been one of the true breakout alt-rock bands of the past two years, on the strength of last year’s debut album Hope Downs and all its blissful indie rock tunes. So we made a priority to not only catch their set last weekend at Boston Calling, but also chat with the Australian dudes to get the scoop directly from them. Not too long after performing, Julie Kramer sat down with the band to discuss their live experience, singing along to songs, rocking in the daytime hours, and how a group of Aussies linked up with Seattle’s Sub Pop.
