This blessed year we call 2019 reached the midway point yesterday (July 1), so we here at Boston’s alternative streaming radio have started reflecting. Last week we hung a Quesday chat on your favorite songs of 2019, and tomorrow we’re launching the “Best 100 Songs of 2019 (So Far)” countdown that will take us through the long holiday weekend.

So it made sense to dress today’s Quesday discussion in Best of ’19 glory, asking listeners about their favorite… well, favorite everything. From albums (hey Pony by Orville Peck, The Best Of Luck Club by Alex Lahey, and Keepsake by Hatchie) to shows (hey Chromatics live at Royale in May) to memes (hey “Bad Guy”) to Twitter feeds (hey Liam Gallagher), there was a lot suggested. Which makes sense because this year has been a great one for music, both in terms of releases and as a pop culture force.

Peep a few of the nominees below, and keep it locked to indie617 as Morning Glory airs weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., broadcasting live throughout Boston.
