Summer in New England means one thing: It’s lobster roll szn.

So Morning Glory decided to welcome Boston food writer Marc Hurwitz (Boston Restaurant Talk, Hidden Boston) into the indie617 studio on Thursday (July 11) to talk about the best lobster rolls from Cape Cod to Maine.

We discussed what makes a great lobster roll, and where to buy one. I came in with two of my absolute favorites — the warm buttered roll at Island Creek Oyster Bar (pictured above last weekend by yours truly) and the overstuffed beast from Arnold’s in Eastham.

Hurwitz had even more to suggest, including rolls from CK Pearl in Essex, Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company in Maine, and Five Islands Lobster Co. in Georgetown.
