Pass the fork, drop the knife — Spoon are our new Song of the Week champs.

Britt Daniel and the boys emerge victorious in the #SOTW poll with their new track “No Bullets Spent,” a new one that accompanies Spoon’s forthcoming greatest hits record. They play the XFinity Center in Mansfield with Beck, Cage The Elephant, and Sunflower Bean on August 15.

The track was nominated by Julie Kramer, and garnered enough votes to hold off some spirited tunes, like “Blood From A Stone,” a rock and roll stomper, nominated by Michael Marotta, from Philly’s Sheer Mag,who play The Sinclair on October 11; what Pelvis Costello calls a “certified bop” titled “Sister Buddha” by Belle and Sebastian, who play the House of Blues on Saturday; and a post-punk firecracker nominated by Paul Driscoll from Fontaines D.C., who play Great Scott on September 8;

The final results are below.
