Our summer fling is music and indie617 has a new Song of the Week poll as hot as the weather out around Boston. Spoon captured the crown last week with their new single “No Bullets Spent”, nominated by Julie Kramer, and now four new contenders battle for #SOTW honors, all nominated by the indie617 on-air staff.

Julie Kramer defends her nom crown by offering up Bon Iver’s new single “Faith” in advance of next month’s new album and their October 15 show at TD Garden.

Paul Driscoll goes clean with “I Dare You” by Los Angeles’ The Regrettes, who play Brighton Music Hall on October 6. Michael Marotta throws it down to Baltimore with Lower Dens‘ “I Drive”; and Pelvis Costello takes it to Iceland with “Wild Roses” by Of Monsters And Men, who play the Pavilion on September 8.

The poll wraps Friday around 9:40 a.m., live on Morning Glory.

Vote hard!
