After last week’s wah-wah-wild Song of the Week finale, this week’s battle of the jams was devoid of drama entirely. We lined up the four new contenders at the tail-end of Morning Glory, and after our preview, the poll went live on Twitter. That’s normal procedure here at indie617, but what came next doesn’t always happen.

Love Fame Tragedy’s Murph, who you may know from his work in the Wombats, got a hold of the poll Monday afternoon and RT’d it to his followers, enabling Julie Kramer’s pick to vault out to an early lead that seemed insurmountable.

And it was.

Love Fame Tragedy’s “My Cheating Heart” finished with 70 percent of the vote, leaving the other three contenders — Lykke Li, DIIV, and White Reaper — way behind the dust.

Check out the final results below, and stay tuned for the next SOTW poll going live Monday on Morning Glory.
