Earlier in the week Paul Driscoll joined me live on Morning Glory to discuss The Strokes’ polarizing appearance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, and that chat had me thinking about all the festivals I’ve hit up over the years. So the Quesday conversation topic quickly took shape: What was the best music festival you ever attended?

Now, using the term “best” is a bit misleading, as were just soliciting your favorite festival memories and moments. And as usual, indie617 listeners had a bunch come to mind.

I got the discussion started on Morning Glory with a few of my personal faves — the first Warped Tour in ’95 with Quicksand, L7, and Orange 9MM; Lollapalooza ’97 with James, Tool, and Tricky; Curiosa ’04 with The Cure, MUSE, Interpol, The Rapture; and Coachella ’11 with Suede and Robyn.

Listeners came correct with a bunch of their own picks, and you can revisit the chain of discussion via the official Quesday twitter thread below.
