After last week’s short post-Labor Day run, the indie617 Song of the Week poll is back into its regularly scheduled Monday-to-Friday groove. And just in the knick of time, as this week’s SOTW is a baller with four new contenders vying for the crown.

Morning Glory’s Michael Marotta secured last week’s glory with his pick of Bombay Bicycle Club’s new one, and he defends the title by nominating “Instant Pace” from Brooklyn’s B Boys, who play Great Scott on Monday night. Challenging MM and the B Boys are Julie Kramer’s pick of The Gala, a Boston garage rock band who just dropped new single “Gimme Gimme” via a European compilation and play O’Brien’s Pub on September 27.

Weekend host Pelvis Costello swings with Lower Dens’ new track “Hand of God,” off their ace new LP The Competition, while production coordinator Tommy O’Connor gets emo with “Bummer” by Save Face, who play ONCE Ballroom on October 2.

Lots to choose from! Dive into the poll below, and hear all the nominees all week long on indie617 before we declare a winner on Friday morning.
