We had another wild finish to the Song of the Week poll.

Coming down to the very final seconds on Twitter, Julie Kramer emerged victorious once again with her pick of “Sick” by the reunited Vivian Girls, who dropped new record Memory last week (their first since 2011’s Share The Joy) and play ONCE Ballroom in Somerville on October 20.

35 percent of the vote was just enough to fend off a spirited charge by Tommy O’Connor’s pick, “Mover Awayer” by Hobo Johnson. It would have been Hobo’s second SOTW win in roughly a month, but the Sacramento upstart couldn’t quite put it away. It made for a wild finish as we counted down the results live on Morning Glory, making note of the fact that Pelvis Costello finished third with Soccer Mommy’s “Lucy” and Michael Marotta came in dead last with Tones And I’s “Dance Monkey.”

Props to Julie and Vivian Girls for the win. Stay tuned for a new SOTW poll going live Monday morning.
