Depending on the circumstance, “free beef” might not be a good idea.

But free Beeef? That’s a brilliant plan.

And that’s what indie617 is serving up Saturday, November 9, as Beeef, the acclaimed Boston-New York City guitar-pop band, play our next +1 Series Show. It’s a free gig, it’s presented by Goose Island and powered by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and it all goes down at Somerville’s intimate Union Tavern.

This free show with Beeef arrives just in time, because the band has been nominated for five — yes, FIVE! — Boston Music Awards. The Beeef-y ballot includes nods for Unsigned Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (for July’s incredible Bull In The Shade), Song of the Year (for “I’m So Sorry”, their collaboration with Sidney Gish), Video of the Year (the Allston-centric “Morning Light”), and Alt/Indie Artist of the Year.

That’s quite a haul of Beeef accolades.

So make sure to join us Saturday, November 9 at Union Tavern, the former P.A.’s Lounge space in bustling Union Square. We can’t wait to throw it down with Perry Eaton and the boys.
