Sometimes one vote is all it takes.

This was one of those weeks.

Promotions Director Chrissy McKeon stepped into the Song of the Week poll as a fill-in for a honeymooning Michael Marotta and pulled out a victory — by the slimmest of margins. She nominated Phantogram’s latest, “In A Spiral,” and it ended up taking home 29 percent of the vote, which narrowly defeated Julie Kramer’s pick of Beck’s “Dark Places,” which finished with 28 percent. With 124 votes cast in the SOTW poll, which was tied with less than a minute to go, that meant that the last vote cast on Friday morning determined the winner.

Hot dang!

But it was a close poll all through the week, as evidenced by the low winner percentage. Saturday on-air host Pelvis Costello finished third with Best Coast’s “For The First Time” (22 percent), and production coordinator Tommy O’Conner rounded out the quartet with Beach Bunny’s “Dream Boy” (21 percent). This could be the first poll where all four nominees finished in the 20-percent rage.

Check out the full results below, and stay tuned for a new poll going live on Twitter Monday on Morning Glory.
