Last week’s Song of the Week poll was short on the week but long on the drama, as Pelvis Costello and Maggie Rogers teamed up to capture the crown in a holiday-shortened SOTW dash. This time around we have a full week of voting action at play, but there likely won’t be any shortage of drama as four excellent contenders battle it out.

Pelvis defends her title by saddling up with Hozier and the tall man’s new live cut “Jackboot Jump,” pulled from his recent North American tour and serving as a taste of new music to come in 2020. After coming in a super-close second last week, Tommy O’Connor throws down an indie-pop gauntlet with MisterWives‘ vibrant new one, “Coming Up For Air”, while Michael Marotta taps young UK upstarts King Nun and their glammed-out sleaze-pop banger “Mascara Runs”. Julie Kramer rounds out the field with a New Year’s Eve ditty from Lucy Dacus called “Fool’s Gold,” and it arrives just as Dacus plays Royale on Wednesday.

Pretty good collection of tunes.

Who ya got?

Vote below, now and again until around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, when the poll wraps just before Future Teens join Morning Glory to discuss their Saturday night +1 Series show.
