‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through streaming radio;
A jolly voice spoke out, chanting ho-ho-ho.

That voice belongs to Michael Marotta, who takes to the indie617 airwaves for our first-annual Morning Glory Holiday Special, two hours of alt and indie Christmas bangers n’ jams. The first serving goes down Christmas Eve, December 24 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., then again Christmas morning at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Tune in as Marotta spreads his own kind of holiday cheer, spinning tunes and telling stories, and talking about what it’s like to be born on Christmas Day, December 25. We’ll recite the indie617 Night Before Christmas, and hear new holiday music from Letters To Cleo, Piebald, Richard Ashcroft, and The Dirty Nil, as well as classics from Ramones, Oasis, T-Rex, and The Pogues. Dum Dum Girls, The Killers, Stella Donnelly, The Futureheads, Marika Hackman, The Walkmen, The Field Effect, The Sheila Divine are also in the mix.

So join us as we unwrap a Morning Glory Christmas, only on Boston’s alternative streaming radio, indie617.com.
