Hold on to your butts — the indie617 Song of the Week poll is back!

And yeah bruh, it’s quite the doozy to help kick off 2020 here at Boston’s alternative streaming radio. Four new contenders battle it out for SOTW glory, and if you’re new to us and how we roll, the process is simple: Four indie617 on-air personalities nominate a track, spin it all week, and listeners vote for their fave on Twitter. The poll launches Monday, and wraps live on Friday’s Morning Glory.

Defending his Song of the Week of the Year title that closed out 2k19, Morning Glory host Michael Marotta dips across the Atlantic for a dramatic new guitar-rock rumbler from London’s Kid Violet called “Sex On Drugs.” Kick Out The Jams and midday host Julie Kramer rolls with an old faithful in Bombay Bicycle Club and their latest indie-pop gem “I Can Hardly Speak”, while Saturday host Pelvis Costello selects a December entry from Julian Casablancas’ The Voidz called “Did My Best.” Rounding things out, afternoon drive host Tommy O’Connor jams Jersey-style with “Camouflage” a new rabble-rouser from modern legends The Front Bottoms.

Quite the quartet we have lined up here.

Get into the action below, cast your vote via Twitter, and welcome to 2020.
