Big news out this morning, as the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2020, and it was a doozy: Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, T. Rex, The Notorious B.I.G., Whitney Houston, and The Doobie Brothers. That’s some class alright!

Minutes after news hit, Morning Glory welcomed Boston-based music writer and historian Michael Christopher to the program. We broke down the class, shared thoughts on the inductees, the Rock Hall’s process, who got snubbed, and whether or not this crop o incredible artists makes the institution cool. Christopher is an expert in the field, with a new book, Depeche Mode FAQ: All That’s Left to Know About the World’s Finest Synth-Pop Band, coming out in October.
