A new month, a new Monday, a new Song of the Week poll.

It’s all lining up nicely, and the latest indie617 SOTW poll is a quartet of pure bangers. Current champ and Morning Glory host Michael Marotta rolls with the relative unknown, a monster British indie anthem called “Teetotal” from a rising Liverpool band called The Kairos. He’s the defending champ, and he’s got his work cut out for him.

Pelvis Costello is back in the SOTW and she rolls with Wolf Parade’s “Under Glass,” another from the collaborative project’s recent LP Thin Mind, and one that’ll surely sound great when the band plays The Paradise on February 23. Kick Out The Jams and midday host Julie Kramer connects with a moody new track from Boston Calling-bound girl in red called “kate’s not here,” off the star-studded soundtrack for horror flick The Turning. And indie617 sales king Johnny L holds steady in the poll and nominates “Broken Boy,” the feisty new guitar-rock collaboration between Cage The Elephant and Iggy Pop.

That’s a lot of awesome all packed within one weeklong poll. Hear the nominees all week long on indie617, and tune into Morning Glory on Friday as we declare the winner live on air. Vote below.
